I am also wondering. Does appreciation of one's youth make longing greater or numb it behind enjoyment?

I suspect the moment of being lost in one's youth makes it dulled and then being reintroduced to ones normal surroundings (i.e. home) immediately post feeling overwhelmed and enthralled by such simple enjoyment might make it seem greater in comparison.
