Multinationals Make Billions in Profit out of Growing Global Food Crisis
Shell and BP made close to $6million in profit per hour in the first quarter of last year. 6 million an hour. That's staggering. Simply staggering. But they aren't at fault. Don't you remember? They just testified before Congress saying they weren't!
Also mentioned in this article, and also something about which I've been bitching for the better part of the year: FOOD SPECULATION. See, it's all a game. A stupid game that is making some people lots of money and resulting in the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people worldwide, especially children. But the game persists because we insist on believing that economic laws are irrefutable.
